Midsomer Norton, Somerset Hybrid Full time, Permanent

Circa. £45,000

The Role

Are you passionate about website management and using your tech stack skills to enhance website functionality and usability? Are you someone who thrives in a varied environment, where on any one day you might be running website maintenance, managing the ticketing system, and making website changes on behalf of the marketing team?

We’re recruiting for an eCommerce Product Owner on behalf of a wildly successful, international eCommerce brand. We’re looking for someone who is technically minded, but who is also endlessly curious and continually wanting to improve website functionality with the user at heart. You’ll be a naturally proactive person, constantly on the lookout for errors or bugs, but also someone who loves helping others and being on-hand for the team. Your technical experience on the backend will support the commercial goals of the business, and is therefore a very crucial part of the company.

You’ll be working across a number of international websites, working closely with the eCommerce Director, and will be heavily involved in a number of projects from A/B testing, to helping scope out potential new tech such as CMS platforms. Ideally, you’ll have some experience with website integrations and you will already be working within an eCommerce business. It would be advantageous if that company was a small business where you were very hands-on and involved in a variety of tasks.

Skills and Experience

  • A background in a technical website role for an eCommerce brand
  • The ability to work in a hands-on role as part of a small, close-knit team
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Willingness to help others and be a real team player
  • Strong website platform experience, ideally within Magento (1 or 2), Shopify or similar

Benefits

Depending on experience, there is a competitive salary on offer here of up to £45k, plus a hybrid working pattern of 2 days WFH per week, onsite parking, bonus, employee discount scheme, and 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays. There is a real onus on work/life balance at this company and as such, any hours worked over your contractual hours are paid as overtime.
