The Role 

Do you have big ambitions to be an agency leader one day in the future? Or perhaps you’re looking to eventually become a Head of Paid Media? If either of these apply, then we definitely have something well worth considering! We’ve partnered with an up and coming, organically growing paid media agency in central Bristol, as they look to recruit an experienced paid media specialist to come and lead the paid media delivery team.

Working closely with the Founders, you will oversee a small team of PPC Executives, supporting them with the day to day running of campaigns and strategies, conducting 1-2-1s and training, whilst also having responsibility for your own small portfolio of high value clients. We’re not looking for someone who is completely hands-off with campaigns at this point, and so it’s likely you’ll be working as a Paid Media Manager/Senior Paid Media Manager at the moment, with career goals of stepping into a more management heavy role in the near-future. Alongside this, you will support the Founders when it comes to building pitch decks and supporting materials, but you will not have any responsibility for generating business or business development. 

Over time, you will gain a thorough understanding of the intricacies of running a successful paid media team, of the lead cycle when it comes to new clients, as well as the commercials including P&L, balance sheets, and forecasting. All of these will stand you in good stead to step up in your role as the agency continues to grow in line with its ambitions of reaching a medium-sized agency headcount! Exciting, hey!

Because of the nature of the role, we are ideally looking for someone who has plenty of agency experience, as you will be in the best place possible to support those you are managing, as well as being accustomed to the demands and pace of agency life. 

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience as a paid media/PPC specialist
  • A strong knowledge of the key biddable media platforms e.g. Google Ads, Google Shopping/Performance Max, Meta, LinkedIn, display
  • Agency side experience is expected here, but we will consider applications from those with a pure in-house background
  • Management experience is preferred, but we can consider mentoring experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent account management skills

There is a hybrid working model in place here of 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days remote. Depending on experience, we’re looking at a salary up to £45k + benefits.
