Caerphilly, South Wales On-site Full time, Permanent

Circa. £35,000

The Role

We’re currently looking for an eCommerce Specialist on behalf of a long-standing B2B distributor, based in South Wales. This is a brand new role that has been created as a result of continued expansion and additional website projects. We’re looking for a UX focused individual with strong eCommerce knowledge, as you will take ownership for the online user experience and for enhancing website performance and optimising the customer journey.

This is a varied role but essentially, you will be accountable for monitoring and analysing the website performance, focusing on key performance metrics such as conversion rates, abandonment rates, sales volumes, sessions, and average order values. You will be naturally curious and always relying on insight to identify opportunities to improve the website performance, in order to generate an uplift in sales/revenue. You will also carry out regular website health checks and will be the first point of contact if the website goes down. A much smaller, but still important, part of the role will be the uploading and merchandising of new products to the website. We’re looking for someone who has had exposure to a large eCommerce site before, so previous experience using either WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Shopify (or similar) is required.

Strong communications skills are required in this role, as you will be liaising with the customer services team, warehouse and fulfilment, and marketing. Because the website is so central to the business, you will need to have an awareness of upcoming product launches, promotions, and any issues that may occur within the supply chain process, to reflect this accurately on the website and reduce customer complaints.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience working with an eCommerce platform such as Shopify, WooCommerce or BigCommerce.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Experience managing web development agencies.
  • A data-driven approach to improving online performance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.

Benefits

There is a salary on offer here of up to £35k dependent on experience. This role does require you to be in the office 5 days a week, so please only apply to this role if you can work onsite Monday-Friday every week. There is onsite parking available, and flexible start and finish times from 8am through to 6pm to suit your individual needs.
