We’re working with a fast-growing British lifestyle brand to recruit a Social Media Executive to join their marketing team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a creative and commercially aware social media professional who loves storytelling, content creation and building engaged online communities.

The Role

This role is fast-paced and hands-on. You’ll be creating engaging content, responding to trends in real time and working closely with the wider marketing and creative teams to ensure social media supports wider campaign and brand objectives.

In practice, you’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of social channels, planning and scheduling content across key platforms, writing engaging on-brand copy and producing short-form video and behind-the-scenes content during shoots and brand moments. You’ll also attend major brand events throughout the year to capture live content, engage with the community through comments and messages, and analyse performance data to continuously improve reach and engagement. Alongside this, you’ll prepare weekly and monthly reporting, using insight and analytics to inform future content strategy.

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organisation
  • Strong understanding of social platforms including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
  • Confident creating and editing short-form video and behind-the-scenes content on mobile
  • Experience using social scheduling and analytics tools such as Hootsuite, Sprinklr or Planoly
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write engaging, on-brand social content
  • Experience turning marketing briefs into well-executed social campaigns
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to trends and opportunities
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn performance data into actionable insights
  • Creative flair and strong visual storytelling instincts
  • Experience working with fashion, luxury or lifestyle brands would be advantageous
  • Interest in equestrian or countryside events would be beneficial
  • Full UK driving licence required

Benefits

The company offers a competitive salary alongside a strong benefits package, including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday off each year, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, and increasing benefits with length of service such as additional holiday and pension contributions. You’ll also receive a generous staff discount and access to a staff shop, a Cycle to Work scheme, and an Employee Assistance Programme that includes mental health support. Fresh fruit and pastries are delivered weekly to the office.
