The Role

Are you passionate about PR, Marketing and Communications? Perhaps you’re looking to step up into a Senior role where the possibility for progression into management is there? This could be the perfect opportunity for you! We’re delighted to be partnering with a charity in Southampton who are looking to hire a Senior Communications & Marketing Officer.  For this role, you should have 3–5 years experience in a similar role.

This is an all-rounder role, focusing on creating campaign strategies across website, social and email. You will be working with the wider team, providing content briefs and supporting the Head of Communications, acting as their deputy. You will be an out of the box thinker with good marketing and PR knowledge. You’ll provide copywriting assets to optimise the website and create press releases as well as attend events where you’ll be confident speaking with others and conducting as well as taking part in interviews.

This role is an incredible opportunity for someone who has gained these skills and is looking to step into a more senior role with further progression opportunities.

This role is based in Southampton and requires you to work fully office based.

Skills and Experience 

• You should have 3 – 5 years experience in a Marketing and Communications role or from a PR background.
• Ability to manage a budget
• Experience in producing campaign strategies across 
• Experience in vlogging, hosting 1-1 interviews, podcast or taking part in radio talks is ideal
• Excellent copywriting skills and communication skills
• Knowledge of SEO keyword research, website maintenance  and paid media
• Charity background desirable

Benefits

They offer a salary between £35 – £38k alongside a good holiday allowance. This role gives opportunity for progression into a manager role..
