The Role

We’re excited to be working with a global company in the automotive sector, as they look to recruit a Global Content and Social Strategist within the UK team. This is a newly created role which has come off the back of significant expansion into marketing operations globally. 

We’re on the lookout for a strategic, data-driven Content whizz, who is also up to date with modern social platforms and how to leverage these as part of a multi-channel strategy. You’ll be joining a heritage brand that has in recent years pivoted to become more modern and digital-focused. Your objectives here will be to drive consumer awareness and reach audiences at the top of the funnel through relevant and authoritative content. In addition, you will work closely with the Optimisation and CRM/email team to support the prospect nurturing strategy and operations, through an in-depth understanding of the buying journey and touchpoints. 

Upon joining the team, you will be expected to analyse the current content marketing assets, content performance, as well as conducting research into search trends and your target audience, to start curating purposeful content strategies. You’ll be working closely with a team of Content Editors, Editorial Specialists and Videographers, who will be there to develop content in line with your strategy. We require someone who has a breadth of understanding of the major social and content platforms including YouTube, TikTok and Meta for example. Experience of managing a video content strategy/YouTube channel growth is hugely advantageous here, as video content is considered a strong channel within this industry. You will have an eye for good content and will be able to repurpose content in a way that can be maximised across multiple platforms. 

This is a global level role which means you will be working across 4-5 regions and as such, we are keen to speak with those who have experience in a global role, or some experience working internationally. Your core regions will be the UK, US and France. 

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in a strategic, global content role 
  • Commercial, data-driven approach to creating content strategies
  • Excellent understanding of all major social platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Meta
  • A strong understanding of different content types e.g. social posts, long and short-form videos, blogs, printed content, and long-form articles
  • Curious and inquisitive nature
  • Experience working in a globally focused role/across a number of regions/territories

Benefits

Depending on experience, there is a salary on offer of up to £80k, with a bonus of up to 10% based on company performance. The role will be based in central London 2 days per week, with the rest being remote. There will also be an expectation for you to travel to the HQ in Somerset several times a year, although there are no formal requirements on frequency.
