Devon Hybrid Permanent

£30,000 - £35,000

The Role

Digital Tonic are thrilled to be working with one of our personal favourite brands, a fun pet food brand in the heart of Devon as they look to hire a Digital Marketing Executive for their team.

You’ll be working in a small but super, fun, and high energy eCommerce team, where you’ll run campaigns targeting new customers, engaging with existing customers, and ultimately delivering strong sales results. With the location being in Devon, you’ll typically work in the office one day a week (this is not a fully remote role), and you’ll need a car to access the office.

Your role will span a number of channels, but you must have experience working with Email as it’s such a core driver of sales for the business. You’ll need to have end to end experience running email campaigns, setting up workflows, and ideally have worked with automation previously. You will help conceptualise email campaigns, create the copy, work with in house designers to build the templates, and will then monitor results once implemented.

Other core channels include PPC, Paid Social, SEO, Affiliates and Display, but these are all managed by external agencies. You must have a good understanding of the channels, and be comfortable holding the agencies accountable for performance and results, as well as analysing these on a weekly basis.

This role is crying out for someone who is passionate about delivering results, who’s commercial, analytical, but also creative and willing to be experimental. If you have ideas that can improve results then they’ll be embraced, you’ll be given the opportunity to test channels for the best results.

Skills and Experience

  • Must have worked within a product based eCommerce business
  • Previous email marketing experience
  • An understanding of digital channels including PPC, SEO, Paid Social & Affiliates
  • Highly commercial and analytical, always looking to improve on performance
  • A self starter, willing to use initiative
  • Strong verbal communicator, able to manage external agencies
  • Good copywriting skills
  • Must have access to a car

There’s a good starting salary on offer (£30k-£35k) plus a performance related bonus which the company is again on track to hit. There’s a good benefits package on offer, plus hybrid working with one day in the office most weeks, but occasionally this will be twice a week.
