Bristol Hybrid Full time, Permanent

The Role

We’re working with a long-standing and successful business in the international home moving space, as they look to recruit a brand new Digital Content Manager role. This business has been going for over 2 decades now, and has amassed a reputation for being a premium and highly reliable service within the industry. We’re looking for someone who can bring that proposition to life across their website, through authoritative, relevant content.

Operating across 2 websites, this company has a healthy level of inbound traffic and enquiries, with a fully-functioning sales team in place to convert these into sales. This company is purely web focused and as such, we’re looking for a strong writer who can really get under the skin of their target customers’ buying journeys and search trends, and be able to answer those needs with useful content that entices potential customers to the website, and in turn, improving website visibility across search engines. You’ll have excellent long-form copywriting skills, but also will have a thorough understanding of SEO best practice and principles, in order to produce content that is based on user intent and typical customer personas.

Working as part of the wider web team, you will be responsible for auditing the current bank of content, the blog, and then looking at ways to optimise the existing website copy,  as well as curating new content. We’re looking for someone who really wants to truly understand the international home mover space, the types of questions you’ll have throughout that journey, and how to accurately answer these in engaging and informative, SEO enriched copy. You’ll also be someone who is continually paying attention to changes in web traffic and search demands, and be able to react quickly to this.

As a small business, there is plenty of scope for bringing fresh ideas to the table and working with the founding team to make improvements/updates to the current website as well as exploring potential other channels for growth. You’ll be very familiar working with a suite of tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console and Google Analytics.

This role would be well-suited to those who love working in SMEs where you can get heavily involved in the day-to-day, but at the same time given plenty of autonomy in an agile and adaptable environment.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven copywriting experience, with evidence of long-form content pieces
  • Excellent working knowledge of Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics
  • Digital PR and link-building experience would be great
  • Ability to immerse yourself in an industry and produce authoritative, relevant content

Benefits

There’s a salary of up to £40k on offer here, plus other benefits which can be discussed on application. The working pattern is 3 days a week in the office in Portishead, and 2 days remote. There is free onsite parking provided too.
