Cheltenham Hybrid Permanent

£50,000 - £65,000

The Company

We’re partnering with a luxury British lifestyle brand with a distinctive identity and big plans for growth. Known for its premium products and loyal global following, the business is founder-led, fast-moving and continuing to build on its success. It’s now looking for a commercially minded Merchandising Manager to help shape the next stage of its growth.

The Role

Reporting to the COO, you’ll own the end-to-end merchandising function and play a key part in the company’s commercial decisions. You’ll bring together strategic planning and hands-on delivery, helping the business make confident decisions about stock, product mix and trading.

You’ll lead seasonal and in-season planning, own the Open-to-Buy process and work closely with Buying, E-commerce, Finance and senior leadership. From range sign-off and intake planning to trading actions, markdowns and replenishment, you’ll turn performance data into clear recommendations that support sales, margin and stock efficiency.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building and improving how things are done. You’ll help develop scalable processes and tools, support junior team members and bring a strong commercial voice to a growing, entrepreneurial business.

Skills & Experience

  • You’ll have proven merchandising experience within fashion retail, ideally in a growth or scale-up environment.
  • You’ll be commercially sharp and confident using data to guide planning and trading decisions.
  • You’ll have strong Excel skills and experience with merchandising or planning tools.
  • You’ll be comfortable building processes and frameworks, as well as rolling up your sleeves to deliver day to day.
  • You’ll be able to explain your thinking clearly and influence stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members would be beneficial.
  • Experience with a luxury, premium or heritage fashion brand, or exposure to ERP or merchandising system implementation, would be an advantage.

Benefits

You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of a key commercial function and make a visible contribution to the growth of an ambitious brand.

Benefits include 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday off, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, a generous staff discount, a staff shop, a Cycle to Work Scheme and an Employee Assistance Programme. Benefits also increase with length of service, including holiday and pension contributions. Fresh fruit and pastries are delivered weekly.
