The Role

Digital Tonic is excited to be working with a Bristol based Consumer Tech business as they look to hire a Digital Marketing Manager to join their team. This is a hugely exciting opportunity to join a disruptive business, looking to change the way an entire sector is viewed. Initially you’ll adopt an organic and content focused approach, but this will evolve with the growth of the company. Although this is a stand alone role, there are a lot of resources within the sister company’s digital marketing team to draw upon to help execute your plan.

You’ll begin by driving a higher volume of traffic and ultimately leads into the business. There is currently a reliance on comparison websites, and you will work to deliver higher volumes of leads through owned channels. You will be a strong writer across both long form and short form copy, and will adopt a digital first philosophy, looking to further develop the SEO, Social and Email campaign work. You will be passionate about data, and will look into segmentation and ultimately building out automated emails depending on the target audience.

You will be focusing on the B2C side of the business, engaging with and drawing in the end user. You’ll have the chance to own the Marketing Strategy and will work with the founder on this together, with later looking at developing additional channels to support the acquisition work. This role is crying out for someone ambitious, excited by growth, who is willing to adopt an experimental mindset and willing to make mistakes, but also passionate about learning from these. As the role develops, you’ll have the opportunity to hire and build a small team to support you.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong digital marketing knowledge i.e. CMS, SEO, Content, Email & Social
  • Good copywriting skills and willing to create long and short form copy
  • Data driven with strong analytical skills
  • Good campaign management or lead generation experience
  • Experimental mindset and looking for digital performance
  • Driven and enthusiastic personality
  • Great communicator
