The role

We’re working with a fast-growing, well-established ecommerce retail brand as they look to hire a Content & Social Media Manager for a maternity cover.

This is a creative and commercially focused role, responsible for growing brand awareness and driving sales through engaging, multi-channel content across digital and offline touchpoints.

You’ll take ownership of content and storytelling across Social, website, email, PR, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand experience that builds engagement, trust and conversion. Alongside this, you’ll manage the content and trading calendar, working closely with the wider ecommerce team to deliver campaigns aligned to commercial priorities.

A key part of the role is driving performance across email and organic social. You’ll plan and execute weekly email campaigns, optimise performance through testing and segmentation, and take ownership of social channels (primarily Instagram and Pinterest) to grow engagement and audience.

You’ll also create high-quality visual and written content, including photography, video and editorial-style campaigns, as well as building relationships with influencers, media and brand partners to amplify reach and visibility.

This role offers strong exposure across the full marketing mix in a fast-paced ecommerce environment, ideal for someone who enjoys combining creativity with performance and wants to make a tangible impact on brand and revenue growth.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a content and social media role, ideally within ecommerce, retail or a consumer brand environment
  • Track record of growing engagement and audiences across organic social channels
  • Experience delivering email marketing campaigns with a focus on performance and optimisation
  • Strong content creation skills across copy, imagery and video (Adobe Creative Suite or similar)
  • Good understanding of digital marketing channels and performance metrics (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Highly organised with experience managing content calendars and campaign delivery
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and taking ownership of output
