Are you an experienced email marketing specialist who enjoys combining strategy with technical delivery? Do you have expert-level Bloomreach Engagement experience and advanced Jinja skills? Would you like to own the email channel for a large consumer business while leading a talented team?
We’re working with a large, established consumer services organisation with a substantial customer base and an ambitious approach to customer marketing.
The business is investing in a more sophisticated, lifecycle-led email strategy, using data, technology and personalisation to improve acquisition, retention and cross-sell. This is a brilliant opportunity to join an established marketing function and take ownership of a high-volume email channel with genuine scale and complexity.
The Role
As Email Marketing Manager, you’ll take strategic and technical ownership of the email channel, reporting to the Head of Customer Marketing and managing a team of Email Consultants.
You’ll oversee the delivery of high-volume, personalised and dynamic email campaigns, ensuring activity is delivered accurately, efficiently and on time. You’ll own the email technology roadmap, champion best practice across Bloomreach Engagement and identify new opportunities to improve segmentation, dynamic content and real-time personalisation.
A major part of the role will be owning and continually improving the end-to-end quality assurance process. You’ll establish robust testing and sign-off procedures covering personalisation logic, dynamic content, data accuracy, rendering, links, tracking and reporting.
You’ll also take responsibility for email deliverability and sender reputation, using platforms including Google Postmaster and Microsoft SNDS. Alongside this, you’ll develop the strategy for growing the organisation’s email reach and use performance insights to support acquisition, retention and customer lifecycle objectives.
This is a highly visible role where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, internal marketing teams, suppliers and agencies. You’ll set channel KPIs, manage relevant technology budgets and clearly communicate email performance, successes and areas for improvement.
