Bristol Hybrid Full time, Permanent

£45,000 - £50,000

Are you a commercially minded Performance Marketing Manager who loves turning paid media investment into measurable revenue? Do you enjoy looking beyond acquisition to improve retention, loyalty and long-term customer value?

We’re delighted to be working with an established events business that has ambitious plans for growth.

The organisation already has a highly engaged audience and runs a varied calendar of popular live events. It is now focused on reaching new audiences, increasing ticket sales and creating stronger, longer-lasting relationships with its customers.

You’ll join a collaborative marketing team with specialist support already in place across paid media, CRM, email and design. This means you’ll have the resources to deliver, alongside the autonomy to challenge the current approach and shape what comes next.

The Role

This is a broad and commercially focused position where acquisition will be the immediate priority. You’ll oversee paid campaigns across Google Ads, Meta and other relevant platforms, ensuring budgets are being used effectively and activity is delivering against ambitious sales and revenue targets.

There is already a paid media freelancer managing day-to-day delivery, so you won’t need to build everything from scratch. However, you’ll need a strong understanding of paid media to direct the strategy, challenge performance, identify opportunities and confidently communicate results to senior stakeholders.

You’ll also work closely with an in-house CRM and Email Executive and external agency partners to strengthen customer journeys, improve retention and build greater loyalty. A major strategic project will involve helping to select and implement a new Customer Data Platform and email service provider, bringing together customer data to improve segmentation, personalisation and reporting.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Brand and Digital, you’ll provide direction across internal team members, freelancers, agencies and suppliers. It’s a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on digital knowledge with commercial strategy, leadership and data.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience within performance marketing, digital acquisition or a commercially focused digital marketing role
  • A proven track record of driving measurable sales or revenue growth through paid media
  • Strong knowledge of Google Ads and Meta, including campaign strategy, optimisation, testing and budget allocation
  • Experience using CRM, email or marketing automation to improve retention, loyalty and customer value
  • A confident understanding of tracking, attribution, GA4 and performance reporting
  • The ability to turn campaign and customer data into clear commercial recommendations
  • Experience managing or directing team members, freelancers, agencies or external suppliers
  • Strong stakeholder-management and project-leadership skills
  • Exposure to a CDP, ESP implementation or customer-data integration project would be advantageous
  • Experience within a consumer-facing, eCommerce, leisure, entertainment, events or membership organisation would be beneficial but isn’t essential

Benefits

This Bristol-based role offers a salary of up to £50,000 and exceptional hybrid flexibility, with only one day in the office every fortnight. You’ll join an established team with agency and freelance support already in place, while having genuine ownership of the acquisition, CRM and customer-data strategy.
