Are you a Paid Media leader who thrives on shaping strategy, leading teams, and winning exciting new business? Do you enjoy being hands-on when needed, while also stepping back to drive bigger-picture thinking across search and social?

We’re partnering with a highly regarded, fast-growing digital agency to find a Paid Media Director who can lead from the front, combining strategic thinking, client leadership, and team development.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join an agency with an excellent reputation, a strong pipeline of new business, and a client base full of well-known, high-growth brands across multiple sectors.

The Role

As Paid Media Director, you’ll lead strategy across both paid search and paid social, ensuring campaigns deliver strong commercial results while evolving with platform changes and new opportunities.

You’ll manage and mentor a small team of senior managers, supporting their development while setting clear standards for delivery and performance. While this is primarily a leadership and strategic role, you’ll still be comfortable getting hands-on when needed, whether that’s reviewing accounts, shaping campaign structures, or supporting key optimisations.

You’ll play a significant role in new business, working on pitch strategy, building compelling proposals, and presenting confidently to prospective clients. You’ll help shape how the agency positions its paid media offering and contribute to continued growth as new clients are onboarded.

This is a highly client-facing role, where you’ll build strong relationships, lead strategic conversations, and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders.

There’s also an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the agency’s paid media offering, particularly around the use of AI and emerging technologies to improve performance and efficiency.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience across both Paid Search and Paid Social (essential)
  • Experience managing and developing senior team members
  • Confident leading paid media strategy across multiple client accounts
  • Has experience working in an agency environment
  • Is comfortable being hands-on when needed, while operating at a strategic level
  • Strong client-facing skills and can lead senior stakeholder conversations
  • Has experience contributing to or leading new business pitches
  • Is commercially minded and understands how paid media drives growth
  • Has an interest in AI and emerging media technologies (experience a plus)
