£45,000 - £48,000
Are you a confident, resilient client services professional who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment? Do you combine strong attention to detail with the ability to build lasting client relationships and spot opportunities for growth?
We’re looking for an Account Director to join a close-knit team working with big, established brands. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of client relationships and campaigns, getting involved in everything from presenting creative ideas to leading client meetings. This one would suit an established Account Director or a Senior Account Manager who is ready to make their mark at Account Director level.
The Role
As Account Director, you’ll be the senior point of contact for a portfolio of clients—managing day-to-day relationships, coordinating campaigns, and ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard. You’ll play a key role in briefing and motivating the agency team, challenging creative ideas, and ensuring responses to client briefs are both strategic and innovative.
This is not a role for someone precious about titles—you’ll be as comfortable checking over admin as you are leading a pitch. You’ll organise meetings, oversee budgets, and keep projects on track, while also looking for opportunities to grow relationships and sell in new services. With no admin support, it’s important that you’re highly organised, pragmatic, and happy to roll up your sleeves when needed.
Skills and Experience
- Has proven digital agency experience and is used to the pace of managing multiple accounts
- Is confident, resilient, and professional—able to deal with issues calmly and pragmatically
- Has excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail
- Is personable and builds positive, lasting client relationships
- Communicates clearly and confidently, both in writing and in presentations
- Enjoys working collaboratively, supporting colleagues and encouraging creative thinking
- Is proactive, commercially aware, and always looking for ways to strengthen client relationships
- Has strong presentation creation and delivery skills
Benefits
This role offers hybrid working with flexibility around when you’re in the office—but at this senior level, being visible and engaged with colleagues is important. That could look like one day a week in the office, or possibly once a fortnight or month if you’re further afield. You’ll be joining a small, supportive team that values collaboration and creativity, with plenty of social activity alongside the day-to-day.
The agency has a track record of promoting ambitious people quickly, and there’s real scope to progress further here. You’ll gain close client contact and full ownership of accounts, as well as opportunities to work alongside digital specialists and develop skills in other areas of marketing if you want to broaden your career path.
