Bristol Hybrid Full time

£26,000 - £30,000

The Role

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK’s most respected legal chambers in a hands-on, event-led marketing role in Bristol. With the current Marketing & Events Coordinator stepping up to cover the Head of Marketing & Events’ maternity leave, we’re looking for someone to join the team on a fixed-term basis to backfill her role.

Around 80% of your time will be spent organising and delivering events – everything from intimate seminars in Chambers through to high-profile, full-day conferences across the country. You’ll be working closely with clerks, barristers and venues to ensure each event runs smoothly, whether it’s in Bristol or further afield (Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester, Cornwall). Most events are daytime, but there are occasional evening events (usually once or twice a week), for which you’ll receive time off in lieu, so you must be able to have that level of flexibility.

The rest of the role covers a broad mix of digital marketing, including managing the website, running email campaigns, and keeping social content fresh across LinkedIn and X (Twitter). You’ll also support with legal directories, collateral, and anything else needed to maintain their reputation as a market-leading set.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in an events-focused role
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail, especially under pressure
  • Good writing and proofreading ability for emails, social posts and website content
  • A calm, professional approach and a willingness to muck in
  • Ideally, experience in professional services or legal marketing (but not essential)
  • Driving licence helpful, but not required – events are accessible by public transport

Benefits

You’ll get 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), TOIL for extra hours worked, and private medical insurance after six months. There is hybrid working with four days in the office and Tuesdays working from home, and this is a fixed term contract for an initial 14 month period.

Sound Good?

We’re ideally looking for someone to start on 1st October – but if you’re available sooner, even better. If you’re ready to step into a varied and rewarding role in a high-performing team, we’d love to hear from you. Click to apply now, or contact Ewan at ewan@digital-tonic.co for more information.
