Southampton Hybrid Full time, Permanent

£28,000 - £35,000

Are you a strategic, data-driven SEO professional ready to take the next big step in your career? We’re looking for a talented SEO Specialist to join a growing and innovative digital marketing team, working across an exciting mix of client projects in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

This is your chance to shape SEO strategies that make a real impact—combining creativity with analytics, and staying ahead in a rapidly evolving search landscape shaped by AI and generative experiences. If you thrive on variety, value collaboration, and love getting results, we want to hear from you.

This agency is super friendly and sociable and put a huge focus on professional development, tailoring a personalised development plan for every new hire and providing a dedicated training budget.  So it’s an amazing place to develop and further your skills.

The Role

You’ll be the SEO lead for a range of clients, managing everything from strategy development and technical audits to performance reporting and optimisation. You’ll work closely with content creators, developers, and account managers to deliver campaigns that drive results and align with client goals.

You’ll play a key role in identifying opportunities for growth, making strategic recommendations, and ensuring websites meet the latest technical and user experience standards. You’ll also stay on top of emerging trends—especially the growing impact of AI and generative search—and bring fresh thinking to how we future-proof client campaigns.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar SEO role (agency or client-side)
  • Strong knowledge of technical, on-site, and off-site SEO
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical SEO issues
  • Familiarity with HTML and a solid understanding of website structure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Joomla, Shopify, etc.)
  • Skilled in using SEO tools (e.g. Screaming Frog, SE Ranking, Majestic, etc.)
  • Confident using Google products (GA4, Search Console, Tag Manager, Looker Studio)
  • Interest in Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and emerging AI search trends

Desirable:

  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge
  • Experience with A/B testing and CRO
  • Google certifications (Analytics, Tag Manager)
  • Understanding of cookie management and data privacy

Benefits

You’ll enjoy a hybrid working model with a minimum of two days in the office each week. There’s a dedicated training budget, clear opportunities for career growth, and the chance to work on exciting, high-impact projects across a range of industries.

You’ll join a super friendly and sociable team, with regular events and Friday perks like casual dress and fast food. You’ll be part of a passionate group of digital professionals who support one another and love what they do.
