Events Assistant – 12 month Maternity cover

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Events Assistant to join a dynamic team in Bath on a 12-month maternity cover basis. Reporting to the Associate Events Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a varied events programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with experience in event coordination. You will work closely with the Events and Business Development Assistant to ensure events run smoothly and contribute to wider business development efforts.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct venue searches and manage bookings for events.
• Arrange tickets, transport, and accommodation.
• Coordinate RSVPs and maintain attendee lists using the CRM system.
• Support local teams in organising regional events.
• Collect feedback from events and assist with follow-ups.
• Maintain the National Events Calendar and contribute to reports.
• Ensure accurate business development notes are logged after events and meetings.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Previous experience in an events or administrative role, ideally within a professional services environment.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

• Experience using a CRM system.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, or Instagram.
